About Our Bird Cam
Welcome to our backyard in Graysville, Alabama!
Our bird camera gives you a live look at the birds and wildlife visiting our feeders throughout the day. From Northern Cardinals and Carolina Chickadees to hummingbirds, doves, wrens and the occasional surprise visitor, you never know who might stop by.
This project started from a love of backyard birds, photography, technology and simply enjoying the wildlife around us.
There's no studio and no staged wildlife here. It's simply a real Alabama backyard and whatever decides to visit.
Pull up a chair, enjoy the birds and stay awhile.

Our corner of Alabama
Watching Birds from Graysville, Alabama

The livestream comes from Graysville, Alabama, a small community northwest of Birmingham surrounded by wooded hills, pines and creek bottoms that keep the yard busy with birds year-round.
Graysville and the surrounding area have a long history tied to Alabama's coal-mining communities, and the local area has historically been associated with the name GinTown. Those roots still shape the character of the place today.
We share the general area only. No street address, coordinates or exact camera location is published.
How it works
Live bird identification, powered by our BirdCam
A bird-detection system watches the camera feed and identifies visitors as they arrive. That's how the site shows live species names, a running visit counter, today's species list, detection times and automatically captured photos — all from our own backyard camera.
